How the names compare with the Double First-Class annex
The comparison in this section is this directory's own work. It is not a statement by the Ministry of Education.
The Double First-Class list is the second-round list issued on 9 February 2022 (教研函〔2022〕1号). It is annex 1 of the notice of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission. The notice lists two annexes: annex 1 is the second-round list of universities and disciplines, and annex 2 is a list of first-round disciplines given public warning, including revocation. This section uses annex 1 only.
By exact Chinese name, 38 of the 39 names on the Project 985 page match an entry in annex 1. The name 国防科学技术大学 (position 30 on the page) has no identically named entry in annex 1. A name that differs may be the same school under a changed or differently written name. This comparison does not decide that question.
