What the lists can tell you
The Ministry of Education's lists answer three questions about a university. Everything else comes from the university itself.
- Is it recognised?
Look it up in the national list of institutions
The list names every regular higher education institution in mainland China with its institution code, administering body, location and level. Each university page here shows those fields.
- Is it Double First-Class?
Check the second-round list
The 2022 list names 147 universities and the disciplines listed for each. See the full list.
- Where is it?
Use the recorded location
The national list records one location per university. Browse by province and city.
