Not an official site
This site is not run by, and is not affiliated with, the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, any other government body or any university. It does not accept, forward or process applications. Applications go to each university through the channels that university publishes.
How entries are made
- The directory covers civilian universities only. Its 144 entries are the civilian universities among the 147 named in the second-round Double First-Class list issued in February 2022. The disciplines shown for each university are the ones that list names.
- The list also names 3 military institutions (National University of Defense Technology, Naval Medical University, Air Force Medical University). They are not in the Ministry of Education's national list of regular higher education institutions and are outside the scope of a directory for international applicants, so they have no entry here.
- Chinese name, institution code, administering body, location and level come from the Ministry of Education's national list of higher education institutions as of 17 June 2026.
- Subject areas follow the official catalogue of disciplines. English names of disciplines are this site's translations of the Chinese names.
- A university's website is linked only after the home page was opened and found to carry the university's name. Where that could not be done, the page shows no website link.
- Entries were checked on 11 October 2026. Guides show their own date.
- The directory does not rank universities, does not publish admission rates and does not recommend one university over another.
When a list changes
The Ministry of Education reissues its lists. Universities are renamed, merged or added. If anything here differs from the current official list or from a university's own website, the official source is right.
Who runs it
The site is operated by UNILINK EDUCATION PTY. LTD, an education consultancy with operating entities in Australia, China and the United Kingdom. UNILINK advises students on study applications, including study in China. Using the directory is free, and no entry is placed or ordered on a commercial basis: the universities are listed as the published lists name them.
Privacy
The site has no accounts and does not ask for personal details. The university filter runs in your browser and sends nothing to us. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. Pages are delivered through Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP address and browser type in order to serve and protect the site. Links to official lists and university websites open on those organisations' own sites, which have their own privacy policies.
