The notice and its annex are in Chinese. The English in this article is this site's translation of the Chinese text. The English names of institutions and disciplines are this directory's renderings, not official translations, and the annex prints no English names. Confirm any name against the current official list.

The category assignment follows the Ministry's discipline catalogue. Each entry below gives the Chinese discipline name, this directory's English, the discipline code, the count, and the institutions in the order of the annex, which is ordered by school code. Each institution is shown with its Chinese name as printed in the annex, followed by the English name this directory uses.

Peking University and Tsinghua University

Paragraph 2 of the notice says that Peking University and Tsinghua University determine their own construction disciplines in the second round and publish them themselves. The annex prints no disciplines for either university. The entry for each reads that the university determines and publishes its own disciplines. Their absence from the rows above says nothing about what either university teaches. The directory pages are Peking University and Tsinghua University.

The counts in this article are counts made from the entries of the annex. Counting the entries of the annex, 147 institutions are named. Two of them, Peking University and Tsinghua University, print no disciplines. Across the other 145 institutions, the annex has 433 discipline entries and 97 different discipline names. These are counts only. They are not a ranking, and they say nothing about the quality of any institution or discipline.
