Sources checked · Unofficial summary
Sixteen entries in annex 1 of the second-round Double First-Class construction list are for institutions printed under the Jiangsu (江苏省) header of the Ministry of Education's national list of higher education institutions, as of 17 June 2026. Counting the entries of the annex, 13 are placed in Nanjing (南京市), and one each in Suzhou (苏州市), Xuzhou (徐州市) and Wuxi (无锡市). The table below gives each entry with its place, administering body and the disciplines printed for it. For the rest of this directory, see this directory's section page.
The list is annex 1 to Notice 教研函〔2022〕1号 of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Finance and National Development and Reform Commission, dated 9 February 2022. The place, administering body and level come from the national list, not from the annex. Confirm every entry against the current official list before you rely on it.
This page's English is this site's own rendering of the Chinese text. The English names of institutions and disciplines are this directory's renderings, not official translations. The official lists are in Chinese, and the Chinese names below are as printed in the lists.
How the count is made
The national list prints 175 institutions under the header 江苏省 (Jiangsu). Counting the rows under that header, this site finds 84 at undergraduate level (本科) and 91 at junior-college level (专科). These two counts are made from the rows of the list by this site, not printed by the Ministry.
The annex has 16 entries for institutions printed under the Jiangsu header. Counting the entries of the annex by the place column (所在地) of the national list, 13 are in 南京市 (Nanjing), one is in 苏州市 (Suzhou), one is in 徐州市 (Xuzhou), and one is in 无锡市 (Wuxi). Each of the 16 entries prints at least one discipline.
The 16 entries by place
The table is grouped by place as printed in the national list, in the order Nanjing, Suzhou, Xuzhou, Wuxi. Within each place, rows keep the order of school codes in the annex. The annex prints no English names. The English names and the English discipline names are this directory's renderings.

Each row gives 本科 (undergraduate level) as the level in the national list. The disciplines are the ones printed in the annex entry for each institution, and the number of disciplines in a row is a count, not a measure of quality. Being on this list does not show that a university enrols international students in a given programme. For programme and admission details, use each university's own admission information.
What the annex does not print
The annex prints no province, no place and no English names. The province header and the place come from the national list, attachment 1 (全国普通高等学校名单), which has seven columns: 序号, 学校名称, 学校标识码, 主管部门, 所在地, 办学层次 and 备注.
Annex 2 to the notice lists first-round disciplines given a public warning. This page does not use that annex.
