The second-round Double First-Class annex, published in a notice dated 9 February 2022, prints five disciplines in biology, food science, bioengineering and related engineering fields. Counting the entries of the annex, biology is printed for 16 institutions, biomedical engineering for 2, food science and engineering for 3, agricultural engineering for 2 and forestry engineering for 2. The tables below give the institutions for each discipline, and this directory's section page lists the other subject areas.

The annex lists universities and their construction disciplines. It does not group disciplines by subject area. The choice of these five disciplines and their grouping under this topic is this site's own, not the Ministry's. The annex is ordered by school code. Each table below follows the order of the entries for its discipline.

Peking University and Tsinghua University
The annex prints no disciplines for Peking University or Tsinghua University. Paragraph 2 of the notice says that these two universities determine their own construction disciplines and publish them themselves. Their absence from the rows above says nothing about what they teach. Their directory pages are Peking University and Tsinghua University.

Counting the entries of the annex, the annex names 147 institutions. Two of them have no disciplines printed, as described above. The annex prints Chinese names only.
Being on the second-round list does not show that a university enrols international students in a given programme. Each university's own admission prospectus is where that is stated.
