When you do a China study abroad program, here are some points to consider:

• Are you going to learn Mandarin or will you follow some other degree program?
• What medical/health concerns do you have and can they be dealt with in China?
• What living accomodations will be provided?
• What is the cost of tuition, room and board, etc.?
• What is the cost of living where you are going?  There are marked differences between the cost of living in Shanghai and some place smaller like Lijiang.
• How will your China study abroad experience dovetail or interfere with your current educational progress?
• What are your goals for doing a China study abroad program?
